Q: What’s the difference between custom and curated experiences?

A: CUSTOM programs are inbound requests from clients seeking help planning a travel experience for their group. These requests typically come from a business or organization looking for help planning an affinity or incentive travel program. We work with a point of contact pm the planning, contracts and payments. CURATED affinity travel programs are designed and planned by the team at Invested Traveler for consumers. You can sign up for any that are of interest to you as an individual or with friends/family.

Q: I want to develop a custom travel experience for my group. What’s the process?

A: It’s easy; we need a point of contract who is able to sign contracts on behalf of the organization. We require the contact information, valid ID with photo for all travelers. Once you commit to the program, we require a 40% deposit for all travelers. All deposits used for travel are held in a client trust account and are used to pay for travel accommodations only. Any unused ‘travel’ funds are returned to the traveler. The remining balance is due 60 days prior to travel. We use a 3rd party travel agency to book and manage your travel requirements.

Q: How do you coordinate travel services?

A: Invested Traveler is not a travel agency but we do partner with travel agencies GLOBAL capabilities to help us deliver world class travel accommodation services. This approach enables us to scale with the best technology and expanded resources to meet our client’s needs.

Q: I want to go on an Invested Traveler curated experience. How do I sign up?

A: It’s easy; we require the contact information, valid ID with photo for all travelers. Once you commit to the program, we require a 40% deposit for all travelers. All deposits used for ‘travel’ are held in a client trust account and are used to pay for travel accommodations only. Any unused ‘travel’ funds are returned to the traveler. Travel services include lodging, ground transportation. For curated experiences, we do not coordinate your travel to get to the meeting point.

Q: Why don’t you coordinate air/ground transportation?

A: We want to keep costs down and allow you the most flexibility possible in making arrangements that fit your budget. Also, if airlines are having a rough day, we don’t want that to diminish our brand. It’s a risk we don’t want to take. Our reputation is solidified from your arrival to your departure and that’s the lasting impression we stand by.

Q: This seems like a great tour; is there a way for me to keep cost down?

A: Yes! Since you coordinate your own travel and ground transportation, you can use your reward travel points from your credit card(s) to help you save on the cost of travel. You also want have to pay any service charges to have us coordinate these services. Plus, you can keep your personal identification information more protected. Your experience will begin upon arrival at the hotel, resort or designated lodging accommodations.

Q: I signed up for a curated experience but can’t. Now what?

A: Sometimes, life does get in the way of life. You can always back out as long as you cancel in writing with 30 days advance notice. If you cancel without 30 days advance notice, we’ll work with you and the lodging accommodator based on their cancellation fee schedule.

Q: Do you coordinate air transportation for curated experiences?

A: The beautiful thing is, we don’t. Your experience begins upon arrival at the place of lodging. You control your travel accommodations. You have the flexibility to travel in a manner that’s suitable to you. This approach cuts out the middle man but we will ask for your travel itinerary so we are prepared to receive you on-site.

Q: If the curated experiences start upon arrival at lodging destination, what should we expect when we get there?

A: You will always be greeted with a welcome gift in your lodging room. All of our experiences begin with an opening dinner. The time and attire is included in your itinerary. The opening dinner jump starts your wow experience. You’ll meet the other group members and we always have a great expert speaker applicable to the focus on the experience.

Q: For a curated experience, when do I have to sign-up by?

A: As long as the program is being marketed you are able to register. However, the sooner the better to give you the best options for hotel room accommodations/preferences.

CHILDCARE SERVICES

Q: Are these travel experiences family-friendly?

A: Family, yes. Pets, No. Children are welcome and based on needs, Invested Traveler can utilize its childcare services training and staff. Childcare services are separate fees. Our employees must get a certificate in the childcare facility orientation offered by the County where we are headquartered.

PERSONAL SECURITY

Q: How do you manage personal security?

A: Invested Traveler understands the happiness that can be associated with travel. But we also understand the risk. Our employees go through and pass the U.S. Department of Defense Level I Anti-terrorism training. Passing requires a passing score of 100%.

A: Invested Traveler may use your likeness for marketing purposes. Any images that we take are the property of Invested Traveler.
